About SISU Hong Kong
We want to translate a Finnish idea into educational language that Hong Kong families can understand, question, practise and ultimately judge for themselves.

Why SISU Hong Kong exists
Sisu is often translated as grit, persistence or courage, but each word carries only part of the idea. Hong Kong families deserve an introduction that goes beyond a slogan and includes judgement, responsibility, support and recovery.
SISU Hong Kong is therefore a brand gateway, a Traditional Chinese knowledge project and a starting point for a deeper conversation.
Not a line-by-line copy of a global website
Hong Kong parents bring a distinct context: academic pace, constrained family time, views of safety, international travel experience and hopes for a child’s independence. The content must begin with those questions rather than mechanically translate international copy.
The global story of The Sisu Rally and its Hong Kong gateway may connect, but brand, operating and legal relationships will be described only from confirmed information.
Beauty cannot substitute for truth
We will not invent founder biographies, partners, safety records, event dates or participant quotations. Research will have sources, first-hand work will be labelled as a Field Note, and design intentions will not be rewritten as educational outcomes.
When information is not confirmed, leaving a clear gap is more trustworthy than filling it with plausible language.
When marketing and trust conflict, choose trust.
Real people should appear through real information
Names, roles, experience and qualifications for team members, authors, leaders and partners will appear after verification and publication approval. The site will not replace evidence with a vague claim about an international team of experts.
Until those records are ready, we can still make the purpose, editorial standards and questions parents should ask visible.
An invitation, not a conclusion
Sisu should not become another standard a child is required to meet. It invites families to reconsider how care and protection can still leave room for appropriate choice, responsibility and a next step.
If that question matters to your family, begin by reading, join the guide launch list, or tell us what remains uncertain.
